
Gobble, gobble there will be lots of Thanksgiving meals eaten over the weekend, and of course we do not expect you here at Nutrinity Health Services to completely deprive yourself. We only ask that you follow our Thanksgiving Guidelines, enjoy all that this weekend entails and stay on track of course.
Easy Guidelines for staying on track over Thanksgiving
1) You have the choice this weekend of stuffing or pie. No really I am serious, you have a choice. This allows you the choice and enjoyment of your preference, while helping reduce additional calories from having both.
2) Turkey and veggies first. This will help you feel fuller before having your starch's and gravy. This is a great portion control tip.
3) Eat before you go. Have a shake, bar or healthy sandwich on your way over. Arrive full and remain in control!
4) Alternate alcohol and water. And yes once again I am being serious. For those of you who plan to enjoy a few alcoholic beverages, staying on track will mean that you have a bottle of water or herbal tea between drinks. This really makes a difference in overall caloric consumption.
5) Enjoy family and friends so much that you go for a walk to burn off any extra calories. This is a wonderful time of year to enjoy a brisk walk. Cool breezes, beautiful scenery and a couple hundred calories to burn, smell that sweet Autumn air.
At the very least I truly hope you all enjoy your Thanksgiving Weekend, and remember I will have the tape ready for you all next week!
